Ms. Pamela Garner-Taylor is an advanced practice nurse (APRN) with dual-certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) and family nurse practitioner (FNP). She is nationally board-certified in both specialties.(BC).
She attained two associate degrees from Austin Community College and then she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (1993) and then Master of Science in Nursing (1995) at The University of Texas in Austin. While she was working as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she realized that many of her patients needed help with both mental and emotional needs as well as family medicine. She then decided to train further and become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) from University of Cincinnati. She has an extensive experience of patient care as a Nurse Practitioner. She is a strong advocate for patient involvement in the health care process, and utilizes a holistic, patient-center approach to help patients attain their goals. She is a native Texan and has lived in central Texas most of her life.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, and theater productions.
